Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for every patient. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, vital signs, medical history updates, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Collaborate seamlessly with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance workflow efficiency and patient care quality. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including X-ray taking, medical imaging, and chairside support is essential. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft along with Epic or similar platforms is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, anatomy related to oral health, and infection control practices is required. Experience with medical documentation, medical coding, and managing medical records will set you apart. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing training in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail ensures success in this role. $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
