The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare and maintain the treatment area by ensuring it is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary instruments and materials. Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records for patients, documenting treatment plans and updates. Utilize Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Follow aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control. Support pediatric dentistry practices by creating a welcoming environment for younger patients. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care across general dentistry and prosthodontics. Requirements 2 years+ previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix is advantageous. Understanding of sterile techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Ability to take accurate X-rays while following safety guidelines. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. A passion for providing exceptional patient care in both general dentistry. Itero scanning knowledge a plus.
