We're looking for a skilled and motivated Hygiene Assistant to join our team - someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and takes pride in precision and teamwork. This position requires flexibility to travel between our Central Phoenix and Scottsdale locations. In this role, you'll work closely with our hygiene team to keep patient care running smoothly - from prepping rooms and charting to following up with patients after procedures. It's a hands-on position that rewards people who are organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely care about the patient experience. What You'll Do Support the hygienist by preparing and breaking down treatment rooms with proper infection control protocols. Review and confirm patient charts 1-2 weeks in advance. Assist with patient vitals, x-rays, and photos during hygiene appointments as well as updating medical histories and medication changes. Follow up with post-operative patients after osseous surgery to review home care instructions and confirm upcoming appointments. Coordinate patient recare scheduling, helping patients stay on track with their maintenance appointments. Maintain accurate records using ClinicalVision and PerioVision, including perio charting and EHR entry. Communicate clearly with providers to ensure hygiene exams stay on schedule. Support treatment plan write-ups, consent form reviews, and prescription entry as directed. Liaise with referring offices to request x-rays and address any relevant patient questions. Sterilize and maintain hygiene instruments and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to a supervisor. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent CPR, X-ray, and OSHA certifications (can be obtained after hire) Knowledge of infection control and emergency response procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset Comfortable with computers and electronic health record systems Highly organized, able to multitask and adapt in a busy clinical environment A collaborative team player who takes initiative and works well independently Working Conditions Work is performed in an interior medical/clinical environment that is well-lit and clean. Moderate physical activity may be necessary. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
