$27.00 - $31.00 per hour Job description: Registered Dental Assistant / Business Assistant| Alameda, CA Alameda Dental Studio is seeking an experienced, friendly, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant / Business Assistant to join our growing startup practice. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside the owner and play a key role in building a modern, patient-centered dental office from the ground up. We're looking for a dependable team player who enjoys both clinical and administrative responsibilities, takes initiative, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and creating a welcoming experience for every patient. Compensation $27-$31 per hour Full-time equivalent: $56,160-$66,560 annually Key Responsibilities Chairside assisting and patient care Instrument sterilization and operatory setup/breakdown Patient scheduling and appointment coordination Insurance verification, benefit breakdowns, and pre-authorizations Treatment plan and financial discussions PPO insurance coordination Inventory management and supply ordering Support front and back-office operations Maintain accurate records and efficient workflows Help create an outstanding patient experience and positive office culture Required Qualifications Current California RDA license Current CPR certification Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Positive attitude and willingness to support both clinical and administrative functions Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of dental experience Front and back-office experience Digital dentistry experience Knowledge of insurance verification, PPO plans, and treatment coordination Experience with inventory management and supply ordering Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment What We Offer Competitive compensation Paid holidays and vacation Employee dental benefits Uniform allowance Professional growth and advancement opportunities Modern technology and systems Direct mentorship from the owner Positive, collaborative team culture Opportunity to grow with and help shape a thriving dental practice
