Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Take high-quality dental X-rays and operate advanced medical imaging tools such as 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Support patient management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling administrative duties as a dental receptionist when needed Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dentistry setting with familiarity in dental terminology and clinical procedures Hands-on knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and dental equipment maintenance Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and patient data Skilled in taking dental X-rays, including digital radiography and 3D imaging technologies Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics to assist effectively during treatments Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to healthcare infection prevention protocols Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with pediatric patients and their families while ensuring a positive experience Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental care in a supportive environment that values your expertise!
