Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your energy and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. In this vital role, you will assist with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic technique and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed Manage patient intake by updating medical history, vital signs, and medical documentation in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort Maintain accurate medical records, document procedures, and assist with medical coding as needed Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing patient flow Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and aseptic technique Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy compliance Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
