Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with experience in various dental procedures and patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, supporting dentists and ensuring patients receive the highest standard of treatment while maintaining efficient clinic operations. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records and documentation accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Perform chairside assisting with vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and providing support during complex procedures like 3D scanning. Maintain inventory of dental supplies, order materials as needed, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and coordinating with the dental reception team to enhance patient experience. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant within a clinical setting, preferably with knowledge of general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and dental terminology. Knowledge of medical documentation, medical coding, and handling medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort; certification in radiography is required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatrics enhances patient care delivery.
