Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing four-handed dentistry support for efficiency and comfort Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices while demonstrating excellent patient care skills Monitor vital signs during appointments when necessary and assist with medical documentation related to patient health status Support the dental reception area by managing appointment scheduling, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care using patient management software Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for maintaining accurate patient records Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology enhances your ability to assist effectively Hands-on experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques is required to ensure safety standards are met Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery assistance, endodontics procedures, prosthodontics support, and pediatric dentistry will set you apart as a versatile team member Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise along with anatomy knowledge ensures safe clinical practices Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude are key to delivering outstanding patient management and support Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to improving oral health through compassionate care and clinical excellence.
