Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for pediatric dentistry. This role involves supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient care, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) in accordance with safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques at all times. Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their guardians on oral health practices tailored to pediatric needs. Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical documentation. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dental clinic setting. Proficiency with EMR systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners is advantageous. Experience supporting four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient confidentiality. Prior exposure to pediatric dentistry practices and familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is highly desirable.
