Full-Time Experienced Dental Assistant Join our dental team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients! We are seeking a strong, experienced, dependable, and bilingual Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate is confident providing four-handed dental assisting, has excellent chairside skills, and understands how to anticipate the dentist's needs while keeping procedures efficient and organized. We are looking for a Dental Assistant who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, maintaining high clinical standards, and working as an integral part of a collaborative dental team. Key Responsibilities Provide four-handed dental assisting during a variety of dental procedures. Anticipate the dentist's needs and efficiently transfer instruments and materials during procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before procedures. Seat and prepare patients for treatment while providing a comfortable and positive patient experience. Assist the dentist throughout procedures while maintaining proper clinical workflow. Take dental X-rays as permitted by training, certification, and applicable California regulations. Mix dental cements/liners, impression materials, and other materials as directed by the dentist. Perform sterilization, disinfection, and infection-control procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked operatories. Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients as directed. Review and explain treatment plans to patients, answer questions, address concerns, and ensure patients understand their recommended treatment Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records. Assist with patient flow and help maintain an efficient daily schedule. Monitor dental supplies and communicate inventory needs. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and all applicable California regulations. Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming clinical environment. Work closely with dentists, front-office staff, and other members of the dental team. Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience preferred. Strong four-handed dental assisting experience required. Fluent Spanish/English bilingual proficiency required. Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, materials, and infection-control protocols. Current Dental Assistant credentials/certifications Current BLS/CPR certification.

Current certification/training in:

Infection control Radiation safety Dental X-rays Coronal polishing, if applicable Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient in a busy dental environment. Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Ability to work independently while taking direction from the dentist and clinical team. Experience with digital dental records and dental practice management systems is preferred. Experience in an FQHC, CHC, community health center, or public health setting is a plus. You should be comfortable working chairside throughout a busy schedule and understand how to anticipate what the dentist needs before being asked. The ability to maintain excellent clinical workflow, prepare materials efficiently, and keep the operatory organized is essential. We are especially interested in candidates who: Have strong, hands-on chairside dental assisting experience. Are highly experienced with four-handed dentistry. Are fluent in both Spanish and English and comfortable communicating with patients in both languages. Can anticipate the dentist's needs and work efficiently as part of a two-person clinical team. Are comfortable assisting with a variety of dental procedures. Have excellent knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures. Take initiative and require minimal supervision. Maintain excellent infection-control and sterilization standards. Build trust and rapport with patients. Pay close attention to clinical details and documentation. Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Take pride in keeping operatories clean, organized, and properly prepared. Work collaboratively with dentists and the entire dental team. Are dependable and committed to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care.
