Pediatric Dental Assistant - West Coast Dental Job Description Position Overview West Coast Dental is seeking compassionate and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistants to support dentists in delivering high-quality care to children in a friendly, fast-paced environment. The role focuses on both clinical support and patient interaction, especially with children and their families. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures (4-handed dentistry) Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment Take and develop dental X-rays Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols Help manage patient flow and create a positive, child-friendly environment Qualifications Dental Assistant certification Experience in a pediatric dental setting (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well with children and families Team-oriented with good organizational and multitasking skills Work Environment Pediatric dental office focused on children s care Fast-paced, team-based setting Emphasis on creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for young patients Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Career advancement opportunities Summary This role combines clinical dental assisting skills with patient care and education , with a strong emphasis on working with children.
