Job Description

Overview Full Time Position We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, applied practices including the ability to assist in various dental procedures while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are prepared and available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, utilizing medical imaging techniques. Maintain accurate dental documentation for each patient visit, including treatment plans and progress notes. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality. Prepare treatment rooms by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment before and after procedures. Exceptional infection control practices a must. Collaborate with the dental team to improve clinic operations and patient experiences. Skills Proficiency in using dental management systems for record keeping. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and specialty is a plus, to assist effectively during treatments. Familiarity with dental documentation practices and charting to maintain accurate patient records. Strong understanding of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to perform basic imaging tasks, including taking X-rays safely and accurately. Understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental health for better patient education. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and ensure their comfort during visits. Attention to detail in following protocols for infection control, equipment sterilization, and patient care.
