Job Description The Family Health Services Clinics of the Health and Social Services Department is currently recruiting for Dental Assistant (Registered). THE POSITION
The Dental Assistant (Registered) will be assisting a dentist or dental hygienist in chair-side functions such as; application of topical agents, removal of dental dressings, and sutures. The incumbent will prepare patients for treatment and examination. Modified work schedules may be available. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur or the need arises.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduation from High School or General Education Diploma (GED) or a high school proficiency certificate.Experience:
One (1) full year of full-time work experience as a dental assistant that demonstrates possession of and competency in the requisite knowledge and abilities; completion of a required course on dental assistance may be substituted for six (6) months of the required experience. (This experience requirement is typically met by the RDA Certificate).LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
