Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety standards. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and managing patient comfort throughout visits. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient experience. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in medical documentation related to patient health history. Maintain dental equipment functionality and perform routine instrument processing to uphold infection prevention standards. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Skills Proficiency with Open dental or similar software for accurate documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Expertise in dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices. Experience with dental x-ray techniques and medical imaging tools like 3D scanners. Familiarity with dental instruments, equipment operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal clinic functionality. Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to strict sterilization standards. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration within a fast-paced clinical environment.
