Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and sterilization. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols and aseptic techniques Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety guidelines Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA policies Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and treatment planning Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to foster understanding and engagement Support front desk operations by handling patient management software tasks, scheduling appointments, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records Familiarity with EMR systems, patient management software, and medical imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanner technology Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and clinical confidentiality policies Ability to perform dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and maintain aseptic technique consistently Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients of all ages while demonstrating healthcare infection prevention expertise Knowledge of dental equipment operation including chairside assisting tools, dental x-ray units, and other clinical devices Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or healthcare infection prevention are a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication to patient care makes a meaningful difference.
