Orthodontic Assistant — RDA with Ortho Experience or Certified OA

Certification not required — real experience is. You don't need a formal OA certification to apply. What we need is someone who has actually performed ortho procedures chairside — bonding, banding, wire changes, records — and can do it confidently and efficiently from day one. What you'll be doing Bond and debond brackets; place and ligate archwires Place and remove separators, bands, and retainers Take records — photos, X-rays, digital scans, and impressions Assist with aligner fittings and attachment placement Educate patients and parents on appliance care and oral hygiene Turn over operatories efficiently between patients Maintain accurate treatment records in dental software Uphold sterilization and infection control standards What we're looking for Active California RDA license — required Certified OA or RDA with solid hands-on ortho experience Comfortable performing ortho procedures independently — not just observing Experience with both traditional braces and clear aligner workflows Pediatric or adolescent patient experience a strong plus Reliable — your team can count on you to show up and follow through Calm and confident with kids who may be anxious or fidgety Bilingual English/Spanish a strong plus A realistic picture of the day This is a high-volume pediatric practice. You will be on your feet, moving between patients, and staying focused throughout a full schedule. The pace is consistent and the days go fast.
