Full Job Description Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using CAD and Epic software
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the office's appointment calendar
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and managing patient billing
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
  • X-ray certification (if required by state)
  • Knowledge of medical coding and medical records management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well with a team and provide exceptional patient care
