The ideal candidate will have all required certifications up to date and will be well-versed in assisting with pediatric dental procedures, including but not limited to oral sedation, nitrous oxide, and general anesthesia You will be working directly with our pediatric patients, providing high-quality care in a comfortable and supportive environment. Fluency in both English and Spanish is recommended to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and ensure they feel at ease during their visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assist the pediatric dentist during various dental procedures. Take Digital dental X-rays as needed, following proper safety protocols. Perform coronal polishing and apply sealants to children's teeth under the direction of the dentist. Monitor and support patients under oral sedation, nitrous oxide, and general anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for use in accordance with infection control guidelines. Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during pediatric dental treatments, including managing dental instruments, materials, and patient needs. Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
