Duties Assist oral surgeon chairside during a variety of procedures, including extractions, dental implants, sinus lifts, bone grafts, biopsies. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to dental radiography safety standards Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as OpenDental, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment plans Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric dentistry needs Maintain clinical cleanliness by following aseptic techniques and infection control policies aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards Support administrative tasks such as patient management software updates, appointment scheduling, and greeting patients as a dental receptionist Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the applicable jurisdiction Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental sterilization procedures Familiarity with EMR systems like OpenDentalfor efficient medical documentation and record keeping Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy protection Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery procedures Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish to effectively manage patient care and collaborate with the dental team Join us today to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dental care in a supportive environment that values your skills and professional growth!
