The Dental Assistant is a member of the surgical team that is responsible for assisting the Dentist with surgical procedures, taking x-rays and additional duties as needed. 1. Assists in the transportation of the patient to the operating room 2. Assists in the positioning of the patient on the operating room table 3. Transports equipment and supplies to and from the areas as needed. 4. Sterilizes and stores instruments as needed. 5. Prepares tray set up. 6. Takes x-rays 7. Mixes materials 8. Pours impressions 9. Handles suction handpieces and air/water syringes 10. Coordinates pick-up of specimens by appropriate lab. 11. Assists wherever directed by the nurses, and or physicians/dentists. 12. Cleans up the operating room after the procedure. 13. Charts conditions and treatments 14. Translates as necessary 15. Other duties as assigned. 2 years experience Pediatric Dental Experience Digital X-rays Dentrix software General Anesthesia X-ray license
