Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing high-quality care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office by performing various patient care and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop X-rays of patients' teeth
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following procedures
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as mixing materials for impressions
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience in assisting with general dentistry procedures
- Knowledge of X-Ray techniques and safety protocols
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management systems
- Understanding of dental terminology and procedures
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently
- Strong organizational skills to manage medical records and imaging effectively
