The ideal candidate will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting and dental imaging Take and record vital signs and medical history of patients accurately. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic tools while adhering to safety protocols. Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like Sensei, Opendental ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management. Provide patient education on dental procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care using appropriate dental terminology. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following OSHA guidelines for infection control. Assist with various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry. Experience with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Ability to perform chairside assisting across multiple specialties including pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and documentation accurately. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatments and procedures. Certification in radiography or X-ray certification is preferred but not mandatory. Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
