This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring patients receive exceptional care from the moment they walk through our doors. Whether managing appointments, verifying insurance, or assisting with dental procedures, your proactive approach will make a meaningful difference in our patients' experiences. Duties Greet patients warmly, check them in and out efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth to ensure accurate medical collection and documentation review Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation of treatment plans Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent customer service, and address patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, or insurance verification Perform administrative tasks including filing medical records, managing office supplies, updating patient information, and maintaining organized documentation in compliance with health information management standards Support clinic operations by coordinating medical scheduling, processing intake forms, and assisting with insurance coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 codes for accurate billing Requirements Proven experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing practices Seeking Dental Assistant with strong experience making Temporary Crowns/Bridges Friendly and professional with patients Chairside assisting experience with various dental procedures Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times Experience with insurance verification processes, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines to facilitate accurate billing and reimbursement Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette proficiency; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute for efficient data entry Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering exceptional patient service Prior clinic experience or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with office management tasks such as filing, documentation review, and medical administrative support is essentialJoin us to be part of a dedicated team that values professionalism, compassion, and excellence.
