•FROM 8AM-5PM Please only apply if you a are a serious candidate looking for a long term position in dentistry Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by preparing instruments and materials. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Document patient information accurately in Dentrix, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic. Maintain inventory of dental supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for procedures. Perform basic laboratory tasks as needed, including impressions and models. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train motivated candidates. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical documentation is advantageous. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus. Understanding of medical coding practices related to dental procedures is beneficial. Ability to take vital signs and assist with basic patient assessments as required.
