Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and passing tools efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques Take dental X-rays, including digital imaging with 3D scanners and other medical imaging equipment Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system, Eaglesoft to ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations Obtain vital signs and medical history information from patients to support diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote ongoing health and wellness Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry. Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to accurately assist during procedures Hands-on experience with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient information and medical coding Competence with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Knowledge of X-ray procedures, medical imaging technology including 3D scanners, and vital signs monitoring Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy at all times Join us in making a difference by providing top-quality dental care!
