Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while maintaining strict adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, and verifying patient information for accuracy Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Maintain clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations and handle sensitive medical documentation with discretion Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as patient management software updates and coordinating with the dental receptionist for seamless clinic operations Skills Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate record keeping and appointment management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners Expertise in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency during procedures Familiarity with infection control standards, including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention practices Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with oral surgery or pediatric dentistry cases confidently Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with patients, dentists, hygienists, and other team members Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by combining your technical skills with compassionate patient service.
