About the role As a Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant at Zen Dental Studio, you'll work side-by-side with our doctors and hygienists to deliver an exceptional clinical experience for every patient. You'll be hands-on with modern technology, involved in a wide range of procedures, and trusted as a key part of the clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing four-handed chairside assistance across general, restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures Performing iTero intraoral scans and supporting Invisalign workflows from case setup through delivery Preparing operatories, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols Taking and processing digital radiographs and CBCT imaging as needed Supporting digital dentistry workflows end-to-end, including iTero scanning, case design, and in-house 3D printing of surgical guides, night guards, and chairside appliances Assisting with surgical procedures, including implant placement and extractions Communicating warmly and clearly with patients before, during, and after appointments — answering questions, easing nerves, and ensuring they feel cared for Supporting accurate clinical documentation and treatment planning workflows Collaborating with front-office and clinical team members to keep the day running smoothly What we're looking for We're looking for a dental assistant who pairs strong clinical skills with the personal qualities that make a real difference to patients and the team.Qualifications:
Active California RDA license in good standing Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience Proficiency with iTero scanning (strongly preferred) Experience with Invisalign workflows (a significant plus) Surgical assisting experience, particularly with implants and oral surgery (a significant plus) Comfort with modern clinical technology — digital radiography, intraoral scanning, and digital practice management systems Current BLS/CPR certification X-ray certification Personal qualities: Compassionate, kind, and gentle — patients feel safer and calmer because of how you show up Patient-oriented — you anticipate needs, answer questions thoroughly, and never let a small detail slip A team player — you support your colleagues, take ownership when needed, and contribute to a positive clinical environment A growth mindset — you're curious, open to feedback, and genuinely interested in learning new skills and refining your craft Composed in a busy environment — you maintain warmth, accuracy, and attention to detail even on full-schedule days Aligned with our values — you take pride in your work, treat colleagues with respect, and believe in going above and beyond to make patients feel special What we offer We believe in treating our team the way we want our team to treat our patients — with care, respect, and generosity.
