Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with California dental regulations. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Perform expanded duties permitted under California RDA licensure, including: Taking dental impressions and bite registrations Placing and removing rubber dams Applying topical fluoride and sealants Coronal polishing (with certification) Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays) Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines Maintain accurate patient records and charting Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Ensure operatories are clean, organized, and properly stocked Follow infection control protocols and safety standards

Qualifications:

Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license X-ray certification (required in CA) Current CPR/BLS certification Coronal polishing and infection control certifications (as required by CA law) Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience as an RDA Familiarity with digital radiography and charting systems Bilingual is a plus

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
