Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated
DENTAL SURGERY
Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Surgery Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental surgery procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, applying topical anesthetics, and passing instruments
  • Provide chair side assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the needs of the dentist and ensuring patient comfort
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to established protocols
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical history
  • Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software encouraged, but not required, we'll train the right applicant
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and coding practices
  • Ability to assist with patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical history
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.
