This role is ideal for a motivated professional with hands-on experience in oral surgery who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. You will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and infection control. Key Responsibilities Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and other surgical treatments Prepare and organize surgical instruments, materials, and operatory setup for efficiency and sterility Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols Take high-quality digital radiographs, including panoramic and CBCT imaging as needed Monitor and record patient vital signs before, during, and after surgery Provide skilled chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques Support sedation and surgical workflows, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and recovery expectations Accurately document procedures and maintain electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Sterilize instruments and manage surgical inventory in compliance with regulatory standards Qualifications Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (required) Oral surgery experience strongly preferred (e.g., implants, extractions, IV sedation support) Current certifications (as applicable): CPR/BLS Proficiency with digital imaging systems, including CBCT and dental X-rays Strong knowledge of surgical protocols, infection control, and sterilization standards Excellent communication skills with a calm, professional chairside manner Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-demand clinical setting Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience assisting with IV sedation or general anesthesia cases Familiarity with surgical implant systems and guided surgery workflows Experience in a specialty oral surgery practice What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for continued education and skill development Modern, fully equipped surgical facility Join a team committed to delivering exceptional oral surgery care with precision, compassion, and professionalism.
