Company Description Dental Oasis, Family Dentistry is a friendly, well-established general dentistry practice that has been a trusted part of the Pleasanton community since 2016. Our team is small, close-knit, and genuinely passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant who can also support our front desk — someone who is comfortable chairside and confident on the phone. Role Description This is a dual role combining chairside dental assisting with front desk support. You will assist the dentist during procedures and also help manage scheduling, patient communication, and office administration. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable switching between clinical and administrative tasks throughout the day. Clinical (Dental Assistant) Responsibilities Assist the dentist chairside during exams, fillings, extractions, crowns, and other procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments; set up and break down operatories before and after each appointment Take digital dental X-rays (periapical, bitewing, panoramic) Seat patients, review health history updates, and ensure patient comfort throughout treatment Follow all OSHA and CDC infection control and sterilization protocols Assist with inventory of clinical supplies and alert office manager when restocking is needed Front Desk / Administrative Responsibilities Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule for optimal patient flow Check patients in and out; collect co-pays and process payments Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments Assist with submission of dental insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims Manage patient recalls and reactivation outreach via phone and email Respond to patient questions regarding appointments, treatment plans, and fees Maintain accurate and HIPAA-compliant patient records Perform end-of-day reconciliation and assist with daily reporting as needed Support other front-office tasks as directed Qualifications & Requirements Dental Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program — required Current California Dental Radiography (X-ray) certificate — required Current CPR/BLS certification — required 1+ year of dental assisting experience preferred (new grads with strong externship experience welcome) Prior front desk or dental administrative experience a plus Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) Basic understanding of dental insurance verification and billing Friendly, professional, and dependable — you will be a key part of the patient experience Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced but organized office environment Bilingual skills a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay, based on experience Monday - Friday schedule — no evenings, no weekends Employee dental benefits Paid time off Continuing education (CE) support Warm, team-oriented culture with a loyal, long-term patient base built over 8 years

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
