Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, root canals, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence. Take and develop dental X-rays using modern imaging technology and medical imaging equipment while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records by updating electronic medical records (EMR systems), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation when necessary to ensure patient safety during procedures. Support administrative tasks including greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments etc. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology. Proficiency with dental software systems Curve Dental. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge related to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards; certification in radiography required. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working effectively with children is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and medical coding processes related to dental care. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists. Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
