In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering exceptional dental care by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures Assist dentists chairside during various treatments Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining safety standards Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical records with precision Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology Proficiency in EMR systems such Practice Web a plus Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and assist pediatric patients effectively Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation standards for accurate record keeping Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred; certification in dental assisting is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques Join us if you're passionate about delivering top-quality dental care while supporting a friendly, professional team dedicated to improving patients' smiles!
