Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including dental X-ray procedures, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, verifying patient information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft Record vital signs and medical history information while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies Support chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures Maintain dental equipment by performing routine maintenance and sterilization procedures in accordance with infection control guidelines Requirements Valid RDA certification or state-specific Dental Assistant license with current registration Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting; experience with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management is essential Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft Familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and oral surgery support Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, medical documentation standards, and aseptic technique for infection control Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging procedures confidently Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies while providing compassionate patient care in a pediatric or general dentistry environment Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
