Experienced Dental Assistant or CA-licensed RDA — four-day week, Thursdays off, at a family-owned (not corporate) practice where people stay. We have an immediate opening for a chairside Dental Assistant or CA-licensed RDA who wants to work with the latest dental technology: CEREC same-day restorations, lasers, implant restorations, and full-mouth smile design. Pay:

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour to start, plus our monthly Team Bonus Base pay depends on experience and licensure — and base pay is only part of the story. When the practice hits its goals, our entire team shares the success through a monthly Team Bonus, paid on every regular hour worked. Last year, the Team Bonus added an average of $2.86 per hour to every team member's wages, and in our strongest recent month it added $6.12 per hour. The bonus varies with practice performance (some months don't bonus), but here's the point: when we win, everyone wins — and we've been winning.

Your schedule:

four days a week, Thursdays off For this position, we see patients Monday & Wednesday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Tuesday & Friday, 7:00 am - 2:00 pm. You'll need to be available across our patient hours — and in return, you get two workdays that wrap up by early afternoon and Thursdays to yourself. Why assistants choose SLO Smiles

• Assist our doctors chairside
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Take accurate vital signs and record patient information
• Enter patient notes, prepare treatment plans, and keep charting current in our paperless system
• Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming office What you'll bring
• 3+ years of recent chairside dental assisting experience preferred — strong assistants with less experience and a drive to grow are encouraged to apply
• CA RDA license a plus (we're glad to support your path to licensure)
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy guidelines
• Intermediate computer skills: email with attachments, patient notes, treatment plans, proper file storage, basic troubleshooting
• Experience with dental software such as Dexis and Eaglesoft; paperless systems and CEREC experience strongly preferred
