In this role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect vital signs and medical histories from patients to support comprehensive treatment planning Provide patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation Skills Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate recordkeeping and medical documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques Experience with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners for precise diagnostics Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Knowledge of medical coding and medical records management for seamless documentation workflows Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dental assisting while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
