Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to improving oral health. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols. Take high-quality dental x-rays and utilize advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse Support the dental reception area by greeting patients, scheduling appointments Follow strict infection control procedures including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote long-term oral health. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and orthodontics is advantageous. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental x-ray procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members such as dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals involved in pediatric or general dentistry cases.
