We are currently seeking a Registered Dental Assistant or an Experienced Dental Assistant with an X-ray License to join our team.
Job Description:
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled RDA/DA with valid X-ray license to support our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our dental practice while also assisting our dentists and hygienists in delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Sterilization and Infection Control:
Perform thorough sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments and equipment. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety. Monitor and track sterilization and equipment maintenance records.
Assisting Dental Professionals:
Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures. Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment for treatments. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety protocols.
Patient Care and Education:
Prepare patients for dental procedures and provide chairside assistance. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care. Maintain a compassionate and friendly demeanor to ensure patient comfort.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups. Assist with front desk duties when required.
Qualifications:
Valid X-ray license in the state of California is required. Prior experience as a RDA or DA with current x-ray license need only apply. Experience with CEREC a plus Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe dental environment. Ability to work well in a team-oriented dental practice. Dependable, capacity to learn and retain new procedures and techniques. Able to adapt and become a long term contributor to our family of patients and established team of professionals. Able to use dental software and basic knowledge of dental office equipment.
