Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and workflow Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding Handle billing processes by verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims via dental billing software like Eaglesoft, and following up on outstanding payments Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and dental terminology to promote oral health awareness Maintain knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental procedures across specialties including pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical environments Ability to perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort during procedures Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to effectively assist young patients in a friendly manner Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and facilitate patient flow efficiently Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through energetic teamwork and meticulous attention to detail.
