Job Summary Kids Dental Pals is Growing!! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant (OA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. Candidate must have a valid OA certificate and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Orthodontics Duties Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready. Take and record medical histories, including any relevant medical documentation. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Utilize dental software such as Ascend for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Collaborate with other dental professionals in the clinic, including receptionists and pediatric specialists, to ensure seamless patient flow. Qualifications Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant (OA) or in a similar role is required. Familiarity with dental software systems Dentrix Ascend is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations is essential. Experience in pediatrics or prosthodontics is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
