We focus on quality care, strong patient relationships, and a positive, team-oriented work environment where both patients and staff feel valued. We are seeking a dental assistant/ front desk floater, who is dependable, friendly, passionate, organized, and outgoing to join our team. This position is for 28-32 hours per week, with compensation based on experience.. Our typical schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and two Saturdays a month. This role supports both back and front office as needed. Ensuring a smooth, efficient, and high quality experience for our patients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as a liaison between the patients and the dental clinical team by scheduling doctor and hygienists to production Maintains patient records: update medical history forms, Treatment Consent forms, HIPAA, COVID-19 pre-screens and appointment screens Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure proper financial arrangements are created when presenting treatment plans to patients including insurance portion and patient responsibility
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of dental terminology used in dental billing, current office practices and procedures, and basic math Ability to elicit and evaluate information, sometimes of a highly personal and sensitive nature, from a broad spectrum of individuals and agencies Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures Ability to work with minimal supervision and with extensive detail, and to prepare written correspondence using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling Ability to coordinate functions and work cooperatively with others Ability to use and access database computer applications including but not limited to: Microsoft office, Dentrix Software preferred, Third-party communication systems: Weave & Opencare Ability to organize work and set priorities to meet deadlines Knowledge of or ability to learn procedure and disease codes used in dental billing
Radiation X-Ray Certificate Education and Experience:
1+ years of dental front office and/or dental assisting experience Wage compensation
