In this role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care, supporting dentists during procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging devices such as 3D scanners while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using Open Dental to ensure accuracy and confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations. Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and document medical documentation accurately. Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and verifying insurance details using medical coding standards. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all dental instruments and equipment for daily operations. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the applicable region. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry. Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental or similar systems for patient records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Knowledge of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, and other clinical tools. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies along with aseptic techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques when needed.
