The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality treatments. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Maintain infection control standards by following aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage dental clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and handling medical documentation. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal care delivery. Stay updated on dental terminology, procedures, and advancements in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including the use of 3D scanners. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dentistry and infection control practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. Experience with medical records management, medical coding, and documentation is an asset.
