Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant to join our fun surgical team. The ideal candidate will assist oral and maxillofacial surgery with procedures and provide excellent patient care in an oral surgery practice setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Assist surgeon during procedures including pediatric patients.
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records using Carestream WinOMS
  • Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions as directed
  • Perform vital sign assessments and record patient information
  • Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care post-treatment
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Carestream WinOMS
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and dental anatomy
  • Experience with oral surgery procedures
  • Ability to take accurate and assess vital signs
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques in a dental setting
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
  • BLS certification required and needs to be certified prior to employment
  • Spanish Proficiency, OMSA certification, and phlebotomy certification is a plus This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with multiple locations where you can enhance your assisting skills while providing exceptional patient care.
