Job Description
Welcome to North Thornton Dental We're excited to add a Dental Assistant to our 100% dentist-owned, non-corporate practice in Thornton, CO. Our mission is to provide every patient with the best possible dental experience through empathy, excellence, and teamwork. We value balance, positivity, and precision. Our clinical team works three patient days each week, averaging about 30 hours, with alternating schedules that include a four-day weekend every other week. Work-life balance is built into how we operate. Work Life Balance Schedule At North Thornton Dental, we see patients 3 days per week, rotating schedule that gives us an extra day off during the week and a 4 day weekend every other weekend. We also do a 6 day weekend every quarter that allows employees to take time off while not burning through any PTO. Our schedule schedule template is clinical hours: Week 1: Tuesday (8-7), Wednesday (8-7), Friday (8-4) Week 2: Monday (8-7), Wednesday (8-7), Thursday (10-6), followed by a 4 day weekend Quarterly we condense to Mon-Wed, following week, Wed-Friday. Extra tasks/additional hours can be completed on days off as per need be basis What We Stand For At North Thornton Dental, teamwork and trust drive great outcomes. A positive, supportive, drama-free culture What You'll Do Prepare treatment rooms for each patient with efficiency and attention to detail Assist the doctor during procedures with focus, anticipation, and precision Take digital radiographs and intraoral scans Support infection control and sterilization protocols Provide clear, caring patient education and post-operative instructions Partner with the doctor and hygiene team to keep the flow of each day optimized Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation Support inventory management and clinical organization You'll engage with patients both chairside and throughout their visit, helping create a seamless, comfortable experience while keeping the clinical day running smoothly. What We're Looking For At least 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred Radiography certification required Strong clinical and organizational skills Comfort with digital dentistry and modern technology A positive, professional, and adaptable attitude Alignment with our values of teamwork and patient care A great cultural fit matters more to us than a perfect resume.
