Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic position, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while ensuring patient safety and comfort Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems , ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Collect vital signs and medical histories from patients to assist in comprehensive treatment planning Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote overall health Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical imaging, X-ray processing, and vital signs collection Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate record keeping and documentation Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Ability to perform dental procedures across multiple specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Knowledge of medical coding and medical records management for accurate billing and documentation purposes Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference! $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
