In this vital role, you will support dental professionals in providing exceptional patient care by assisting during various dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring the clinic maintains the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting focused on general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Responsibilities Assist clinical staff during procedures such as cleanings and pediatric dentistry treatment. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Maintain accurate dental documentation, including periodontal screenings, referrals to referring docs Support dental reception duties by printing any x-rays needed for insurance reasons. Uphold strict infection control standards through proper sterilization of instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology is preferred but willing to train. Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix is advantageous. Must be able to keep up with a fast paced atmosphere. Demonstrate understanding of infection control procedures, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and dental imaging techniques. Certification or training in chairside assisting or dental assisting is desirable but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job.
