About the
Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a critical role in perform different orthodontic procedures with the doctor which includes prepping the patients, assisting the Orthodontist, and closing all chairside procedures, all while creating a comfortable environment for the patient. The Orthodontic Assistant will be responsible for knowing our policies and procedures to provide patients and families with orthodontic care instructions and dental health education.
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for procedures, assist Orthodontist during procedures and finish patient's appointment. Be prepared for each procedure by reviewing patient notes to know what procedures will be done and what instruments will be needed. Provide patient and families with proper orthodontic care instructions, dental health education and diet recommendations. Help patient and parent feel comfortable at each visit. Communicate patient's treatment needs to appropriate clinic staff. iTero scanning for patient treatment.
Skills:
As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care and support. You will also use your technical skills to assist the orthodontist in providing treatment to patients, including taking X-rays and maintaining patient records. Additionally, you will use your organizational skills to ensure that the orthodontic office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and your familiarity with orthodontic software and technology will also be essential to your success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with orthodontic patients Certification in dental assisting Familiarity with orthodontic software and technology Cloud9 Strong communication and customer service skills Someone who likes to work with patients of all ages Attention to detail and ability to multitask Organization and time management skills Works well independently and in a team environment Previous dental assisting experience required
