Dental Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental surgery practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other team members to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support the practice in administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient files. Skills Familiarity with periodontic procedures is beneficial. Experience with X-Ray technology and safety protocols is essential. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Use of Dentrix or similar electronic records.
