Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! In this role, you will support dentists with chairside assistance, patient management, and clinical procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including Pediatric dentistry and Orthodontics with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly following strict infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays such as panoramic xrays, periapicals, occlusal and bitewing images. Manage patient records accurately within Dentrix ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Support front desk operations if needed by handling dental receptionist duties including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and insurance verification (NOT
REQUIRED BUT ITS A PLUS
) Maintain aseptic techniques and proper infection control standards to uphold a safe clinical environment for staff and patients Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of Pediatric dentistry and orthodontics procedures and terminology Familiarity with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing medical documentation Hands-on experience with EMR systems like Dentrix is highly preferred Knowledge of infection control practices, anatomy principles related to dentistry, and pediatric dentistry considerations Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, specialists in pediatric patients Join us in making a difference through compassionate care!
